What to Pack

We are looking forward to hosting you at ASBAQ 2018 at Sea World Resort. Below is some relevant information to make sure your attendance is as smooth and enjoyable as possible.


The ASBAQ 2018 registration desk will be located on the veranda of the Sea World Conference Centre. The registration desk will be open at the following times.

Wednesday 6 June 1400 - 1800
Thursday 7 June 0800 - 1700
Thursday 8 June 0800 – 1200

You will receive a program book at registration together with your conference satchel. Wednesday’s timetable is below for your convenience.

If you are staying in-house check in is after 2pm.

2.00pm – 3.00pm Registration Opens
3.00pm – 3.30pm Welcome ASBAQ President Elizabeth Stannard and Welcome Heidi Dening MC
3.30pm – 4.30pm Workshop - The Education Landscape Now and Toward 2025 Mark McCrindle
4.30pm – 5.00pm General Meeting for ASBAQ Members Only

Welcome Function 6 June 2018

If you have registered to attend the Welcome Function you will need to be in the hotel foyer by 6.15pm

7.15pm – 10.30pm ASBAQ BBQ followed by the State of Origin Party. Not a fan of the football? We have prepared a sumptuous Australian BBQ dinner for all delegates and a quiet space for you to relax with friends whilst staying close to the action.

Daily Breakfast in the Exhibition Thursday and Friday

For delegates not staying in-house or who have opted not to have breakfast with their accommodation, a light continental breakfast will be provided in the Exhibition for the early risers between 7.30am and 8.30am.

Dress Code

The dress code for the Conference during the day is smart or business casual. Pack layered clothing as the evening could be cool. Flat covered foot wear for the Movie World Dinner.

As the name suggests tonight’s dinner is in a theme park and we have some special surprises install but you will need flat comfortable shoes!
