The Conference Secretariat has negotiated special rates at hotels around the Mackay Entertainment & Convention Centre for the duration of the Conference. Delegates can easily make accommodation reservations at any of our hotels for ASBAQ 2026 via the online registration form.

Full Payment is required at ACR Mackay and Quest Apartment Hotels
The rates are in Australian Dollars ($AUD), inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST), which is payable to the hotel chosen. There are no other additional charges to the hotel booking other than a credit card surcharge if paying by credit card

Rydges Mackay Suites

Rydges Hotel is an easy 10min walk away from the Mackay convention Centre. Artspace 1 of Mackay Art Gallery is only 5 mins walk away. It is also only a 12 min walk away from the Bluewater lagoon which has a beautiful view of the Pioneer River.

Oaks Rivermarque

OAKS is just a 14-minute walk from the Mackay Convention Centre. The hotel offers a range of amenities including WiFi, a swimming pool, Menu Log in-room dining, coffee pods by The Coffee Club, a gym, BBQ facilities, a restaurant, parking, and a complimentary shuttle service.

Quest Apartment Hotels

The hotel is a convenient 14min walk to the Mackay Convention centre. The hotel also grants access to the outdoor pool, BBQ area, gym, and conference facilities. Accommodation Cancellation Policy

Deadline: Saturday 18 April 2026

No accommodation payments will be refunded on or after 18 April 2026.

Participants who confirm an accommodation booking with a credit card or full pre-payment and who wish to cancel on or after 18 April 2026 are liable for the full cost of their accommodation nights cancelled. To cancel your reservation, please contact the Conference Secretariat. Name changes to a reservation can be made at no charge.

Delegates who confirm attendance by paying a minimum of the first night and do not advise of cancellation before 18 April 2026 the ‘no show’ rate, as penalised by the hotel will be charged to you and your payment will not be refunded. This charge is calculated as the room rate per night multiplied by the dates booked and secured. Please ensure that accommodation dates are correct at time of booking and before 18 April 2026 if any changes are required.

Deposit terms

Quest Mackay and ACR Mackay require the full accommodation fee to be paid when booking. A booking at Quest Mackay and ACR Mackay is NOT considered confirmed until the full booking fee has been received. All other hotels require the first night’s deposit fee to be paid when booking. A booking at these hotels is NOT considered confirmed until the Deposit booking fee has been received.

Change of booking

Any change in booking must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat and NOT directly to the hotel before 18 April 2026. Any changes received after 18 April 2026 will be at the hotels discretion and based on availability.

Early arrival

As check in at most hotels is not until 2:00pm, it is possible that your room may not be ready for immediate occupation on your early arrival. Whilst hotels will do everything possible to accommodate early arrivals, if you wish to be guaranteed immediate occupation you can pay an extra day’s tariff for the night before you are due to arrive. If you wish to take this precaution, please advise the Conference Secretariat so we can notify the hotel that your room is required early.

Late arrival

Please indicate if you will arrive at your hotel after 6:00pm. Failure to do so might result in your room being released.
